Above are the final images in response to the fourth brief ‘home’. The idea behind the series was to capture the exterior of people’s homes in different areas of Lincoln and then compare and contrast within each image. I captured a variety of different styled houses with interesting appearances ranging from colour to brickwork making each home unique and individual. I imported my favourite images into Photoshop two at a time, and then using the ‘Polygonal Lassoo Tool’ cropped the images into different shapes e.g. triangles and squares. I then combined the cut out images onto the same layer creating the final pieces. I feel I have a made clear link to my photomontage inspirations as the pieces appear abstract and artistic. When looking at the series collectively, feeling of comfort are evoked which I associate the connotations of ‘home’. This brief has allowed me to explore and learn more about my new university of Lincoln by visiting different residents areas.
